Notes and Quotes
“Just excited that our kids responded today the way they did. I thought our defense was better, obviously we scored a whole bunch of points again, but just to see the smiles on their faces, sharing the ball, playing together, that’s what Monmouth Basketball is all about. This trip has been incredible for our kids, we’re finishing up overlooking Lake Como, it’s just been a beautiful trip and I’m so thankful for this opportunity that was a great life experience for our kids. The basketball was cool, but the things we got to see are life things.” – Head Coach King Rice
“Team bonding is my number one thing, and Dr. McNeil gets credit for opening my eyes years ago that these trips are more than basketball, its education and life. I’m thankful we were able to do this, we wanted to have our guys on the floor together and get some chemistry going. We still have some additions and we feel like we have a good chance going into the season.” – King Rice
