TravelPulse Canada has announced that seasoned media professional Natasha Lair-McKenty will take on the role of Managing Editor.
With over two decades of experience spanning print media, trade writing, public relations and broadcast media, Lair-McKenty brings a wealth of knowledge to the publication’s growing editorial team.
Based in Toronto, Lair-McKenty has an extensive background in travel trade publishing.
“I’m thrilled to be joining TravelPulse Canada at such an exciting time,” said Lair-McKenty. “With the industry evolving rapidly, I look forward to delivering engaging, relevant content that keeps travel professionals informed and inspired.”
She joins TravelPulse Quebec Managing Editor Bert Archer in Montreal, TravelPulse Canada Senior Editor Jen Mallia in Alberta, and a team of experienced contributors as part of the newly revitalized TravelPulse Canada and TravelPulse Quebec brands.
“We’re all extremely excited by the caliber of content creators and editors we were able to bring to TravelPulse Canada and TravelPulse Quebec,” said Ken Shapiro, Vice President and Editorial Director at the brand’s parent company, Northstar Travel Group. “We have a lot of exciting plans in the works for this revitalized editorial team. I expect that we will see a fresh new energy and relevancy in the brand’s direction.”
TravelPulse Canada recently created a three-part exclusive series based on original research compiled by sister brand Phocuswright and sponsored by Ensemble, Princess Cruises and the Globus Family of Brands. The comprehensive report looks at the travel advisor business and the travel industry overall. A webinar with travel experts discussing the research will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern. (Registration for the webinar is open now at the TravelPulse Canada website.)
In addition, TravelPulse Canada recently revealed plans for its Readers Choice Awards, which will be held May 15 at the Four Seasons in Toronto.
“Giving TravelPulse Canada’s Readers Choice Awards a new home at a venue the caliber of the Four Seasons, shows the expectations we have about making this a marquee event in the industry,” Shapiro said.
