Nexion Travel Group is making changes to its Canadian team.
Jackie Friedman, president of Nexion Travel Group, has absorbed Mike Foster’s role as president of Nexion Canada, while Esther Roemmele, previously director of member services, will step into the role of director of Canadian operations.
Jenny Lloret will now take over as supervisor of member services.
In 2013, as part of Friedman’s commitment to market expansion, Nexion acquired a majority stake in Canada-based Uniglobe Instant Travel, an agency owned by Foster. This business eventually evolved into what is now known as Nexion Travel Group in Canada.
“Our Canadian office in London, Ontario, is just a few miles from my alma mater, Western University, offering the best of both worlds — programs that are uniquely Canadian combined with the benefits that come from being part of a larger organization,” said Friedman. “I know that the uniquely Canadian part of the business is important to our members.”
Friedman has been part of Nexion since 2004, when she joined as vice-president of U.S. operations. Three years later she was appointed president.
