A family of three are missing and Waterloo regional police are asking for the public’s help to locate them.
Trinh Nguyen, 43, Ho Hac Nguyen, 44, and their five-year-old son Alex were last seen in Kitchener on Sept. 1.
Police say the family travelled to Toronto from Vietnam on Aug. 6 and later travelled to Kitchener to visit friends. Their last known location was in the Doon Road and Rockway Drive area of Kitchener.
“They left a residence in a ride share to visit an unknown friend at an unknown location,” police said. “They left two other children, aged 12 and 14, at the residence.”
Ho Hac is described as being five feet, four inches tall, 120 pounds, thin, with short black hair, brown eyes, and a goatee. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
Trinh is described as being five feet, two inches tall, 110 pounds, thin, with long black hair. She was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.
Alex is described as having an average build for his age, short brown hair, and brown eyes.
The investigation into the family’s whereabouts is being handled by the WRPS’ missing persons unit. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
