Princess Kate presented the men’s singles trophy to Carlos Alcaraz after his dominant victory over Novak Djokovic.
Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in straight sets 6-2 6-2 7-6 in a stunning display on Centre Court.
Princess Kate awarded Alcaraz the trophy for the second year in a row after he made it to back-to-back Wimbledon titles.
As the Spaniard approached the royal he paused and bowed his head in a touching moment of respect.

The Princess of Wales also exchanged some kind words with runner-up Djokovic who suffered defeat in the final at the hands of Alcaraz for the second year running.
Kate has been the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club since 2016 and normally presents the trophies to the men’s and women’s singles winners at the tennis tournament.

During the engagement, the royal issued a statement on social media outlining her joy at being back.

Kate was joined in the Royal Box by her daughter Princess Charlotte and her sister Pippa Matthews.
