Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown has declared an outbreak of COVID-19 on Unit 7, which houses QEH’s rehabilitation unit. The outbreak of COVID-19 declared last week on Unit 8 remains in place.
Infection prevention and control protocols have been put in place to isolate the outbreaks within these units.
During this time, patients on these units are restricted to one visitor at a time. Visitor restrictions will remain in place until the outbreaks are declared over. Visitors are asked to wear mask while on the outbreak units and to refrain from visiting if they are experiencing respiratory symptoms or if they are feeling unwell.
