Meant to be an expressive ode to freedom, Dior’s latest campaign for its signature Lady Dior bag, lensed by American photographer Collier Schorr, features an equally iconic figure from the world of pop: the groundbreaking, multi‐award‐winning singer‐songwriter Rosalia who has just added the title of Dior global ambassador to her list of accolades. Read on to discover how fashion drives her.
“I perfectly remember the day I met Maria Grazia for the first time. She was working so hard to create and assemble the styling of her models for the Dior fashion show. She seemed so focused that I didn’t dare approach her to say hi because I didn’t want to bother her while she was working. Yet, she welcomed me with a warm smile and invited me to sit by her side. We immediately started talking about the accessories and the collection. I thought she was wonderful. What caught my attention most was her passion and incredible energy in leading the team, and in translating her artistic vision into clothes, bags, accessories – everything that can be worn and used to express oneself … And I definitely adore her Italian sense of humour!”

“For me, Dior is una casa de toda la vida – as we say in Spain. That means it is a house with a precious history that has endured over time, and is consistently perpetuating its style and the excellence of its savoir faire. Admiro la fuerza y gracia que hay detrás de algo que sobrevive el paso de los años! (I admire the strength and grace behind something that stands the test of time!)”
“Being an ambassador for a house like Dior is an incredible honour and it’s a joy for me. I think of the remarkable women who have preceded me as well as those who are currently Dior ambassadors, and I am in awe. It feels like a dream to be part of the house’s illustrious history.”

“For me, accessories have always been very important. A look without accessories is not complete! A very simple look made with basic elements can be elevated so easily just with accessories and of course, a bag … I can tell you that I put practically my whole life in there, so if, on top of that, it’s a beautiful bag like the Lady Dior, then that’s el súmum – the best! As you can imagine, it was a fabulous privilege for me to be part of this campaign. I loved doing the photos. Dior clothes and accessories help you feel self‐confident and ‘ready’, and prove that strength and delicacy can go hand in hand.”
“The most important thing is to always feel like I’m being true to myself and in this case, to approach the world of Dior as who I am.”

“Fashion is a form of expression – one of the many avenues through which I, as an artiste, can communicate and tell the story I want to tell. It’s powerful in that my energy can shift through fashion. I might have a bad day, but if I see a fashion piece that excites me, the day might change. Or one day, I might feel like my energy is low, but if I can figure out an exciting style in the morning, then I might feel charged for the rest of the day.”
“Solera (Spanish for sunny or radiant), great, timeless”
