Sam Querrey has poked fun at Eugenie Bouchard after the former Wimbledon finalist posted several revealing photographs on social media.
The 30-year-old claimed that her ‘sex appeal’ is good for tennis before posting several revealing photographs and a video of herself on Instagram performing chores in her garden while wearing a green bikini.
Bouchard was seen raking some leaves and posing on a sun lounger before cooling off with an outdoor shower from the hose in her back garden.
The Canadian, who is employed as a commentator for The Tennis Channel, currently has 2.3million followers on the social media platform and received plenty of mixed responses for the pictures.
Former pro Querrey, who retired in 2022 took to Instagram to mimic Bouchard, posting his own set of pictures carrying out ‘yard work’.
Wearing a fluorescent pair of yellow swimming shorts, Querrey copied Bouchard taking a shower with his garden hose and sweeping up leaves in his garden.
He also humorously laid down against a rock, mimicking Bouchard’s picture of herself on a sun lounger.
The American, who notably knocked Andy Murray out of Wimbledon in 2017 at the quarter-finals, captioned the post: ‘How’d I do @geniebouchard?’

He added: ‘@si_swimsuit [Sports Illustrated Swimsuit] I await your call.’
But Bouchard responded to the picture writing: ‘Let’s do a joint photo shoot next time.’
The Canadian was in hysterics at the images, reposting the picture of Querrey copying her showering in her garden on her Instagram story, writing: ‘Screaming, crying, throwing up.’
In a separate post, she wrote: ‘Sam Querrey is my fav person on this planet!!!!!’
Both Bouchard and Querrey are also currently active on the pickleball circuit and it is likely we could see that joint shoot come sometime soon.
Bouchard, meanwhile, has struggled with injuries since 2014. That year she would reach her highest ranking in the WTA Tour, moving to fifth in the leaderboard, following her epic run at Wimbledon, where she would suffer defeat to Petra Kvitova in the ladies’ singles final.
Her last match on the WTA circuit came in May 2024, at the ITF/USTA W75 in Florida.
More recently, Bouchard has been working in broadcasting for the Tennis Channel but opened up on how modelling and her work away from tennis has helped her broaden her fan base and help grow interest in the sport.
‘Tennis, first of all, is a great sport for that sex appeal side,’ Bouchard shared in an interview with YouTuber Valeria Lipovetsky. ‘We’re wearing short skirts, we’re wearing tank tops.
‘It’s fun to turn on the TV and watch that. Right away I was able to get great marketing deals off the court. Being asked to be in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition a few times.
‘Exploring that path was definitely on my to-do list. It’s definitely part of who I am because I think it’s great.’
‘Why keep myself in a box? Why not try to become bigger, or better, or transcend tennis, or explore other fields?’ she said. ‘Tennis is the only thing I know, but it can’t be the only thing I’ll ever do in my life.
‘So I found it very interesting to be in the magazines or do fashion stuff and see that I really enjoyed these things as well.’
‘[It’s] just increasing my fan base, my audience, which in turn helps me get better brand deals, better endorsements,’ she added.
