Police say efforts to recover the body of a 29-year-old diver from Meteghan who went missing on Friday in St. Marys Bay, near Digby, are still under way.
On Wednesday, the RCMP said a helicopter was conducting another aerial survey of the area.
Depending on what that team finds, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team will enter the water to continue searching.
Police said local fire services are helping with sonar evaluations of the bay.
Over the weekend, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, which had been leading search and rescue efforts, said the diver was reported missing at around 7 p.m. on Friday.
“My understanding is that … he was on a dive ship, and as he was coming to the surface something happened where he ended up back under the surface and then the search began,” JRCC Maj. Trevor Ackland said at the time.
A spokesperson for the Nova Scotia RCMP said police remain in contact with the family of the diver.
