PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — There were perfect conditions for the first Pittston City Farmers Market of the season.
Crowds came out to Downtown Pittston to shop small and support local businesses.
More than 20 vendors set up shop in the lower Tomato Festival lot along Main Street.
You can find everything from fresh produce, to flowers, and even specialty items.
Golomb’s Farm and Greenhouses in Plains take part in the market every year.
“Late crops, Brussel sprouts, we grow onions, we grow sweet corn, tomatoes hopefully, melons, just about everything possible we like to grow. And we like to have a good variety for sale,” said Golomb’s Farm and Greenhouses Owner Harold Golomb
The farmers market is held every Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. through late November.
