Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave in-principle approval on Friday for development works worth Rs 247.92 crore in the Saurashtra region.
The approved projects include four flyovers, to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 185.79 crore, include Phase II of an under-bridge and flyover bridge at Kataria Chowk, construction of a walkway bridge from Raiya village to Smart City’s DP Road, widening of three bridges on the road from Kataria Chowk to Smart City on the 150 feet ring road and construction of a high-level bridge over Khokhal Dal river on the road connecting Kotharia and Lapasari.
The CM also granted in-principle approval for allocation of funds from the Golden Jubilee Chief Minister Urban Development Scheme for Bhavnagar, Shihor, Gondal and Malia-Miyana in Saurashtra, besides the flyover projects of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation.
Out of the various proposals presented by the Urban Development Department, the CM approved Rs 45.69 crore for the proposed Nagar Yojana in 31 villages under the Bhavnagar Area Development Authority and for the underground sewerage scheme in Vartej village.
