Tarouba (Trinidad:) South Africa bowled Afghnaistan out for a modest 56 in the first semifinal of the T20 World Cup here on Wednesday.
The Afghans, playing in their maiden World Cup semifinals, lost their way after electing to bat. Azmatullah Omarzai (10) was the lone Afghan batter to enter double digits as the innings folded up in just 11.5 overs. Extras (13) contribuited most to the Aghan innings.
Left-arm pacer Marco Jansen claimed 3/16, while left-arm spinner Tabraiz Shamsi picked up 3/6. Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje scalped two each.
The winners will meet India or England in Saturday’s final.
