THIS is the terrifying moment a cricket fan plunged to the ground from a towering London Tube sign.
Huge crowds – who had gathered to celebrate India’s T20 success – watched in horror as the man fell.
The man was trying to tie a flag to the pole outside Queensbury Underground Station, witnesses said.
Terrifying footage appeared to show a second youngster trying to support him before the shocking drop.
A group of around 10 people standing on a circular platform below rushed to the edge as they witnessed the lad lose his grip and land amid a sea of cricket fans.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 7:36pm on Saturday 29 June to reports of an incident on Queensbury Station Parade.
“We sent multiple resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
The celebrations came after India won the T20 World Cup in Bridgetown by just seven runs yesterday.
The cricketing giants beat South Africa after the Proteas appeared to have the game won, only for Jasprit Bumrah to snatch it back right at the end.
