The Redmi 13 5G is coming on July 9 but the people over at MySmartPrice were able to share an early look at the phone.
The extensive hands-on confirms the phone’s specs. The Redmi 13 5G has Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and strengthened glass on the rear, with a plastic frame in the middle. Xiaomi will ship the phone in Orchid Pink, Hawaiian Blue, and Black Diamond.
Upfront is a 6.79-inch FHD+ 120Hz display. Inside, you get a 5,030mAh battery with 33W charging (charger reportedly supplied). You can expect 50% back in just 30 minutes on the charger. MySmartPrice says a full charge takes 1 hour and 13 minutes.
The Redmi 13 5G will use a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 AE (for Accelerated Edition). It’s likely a small upgrade over the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 in the Redmi 12 5G. There’s either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and a single 128GB storage option with UFS 2.2 storage.
The Redmi 13 5G will reportedly be the first Redmi with HyperOS out of the box. Xiaomi will allegedly promise two years of Android updates and four years of security updates. Even better, Redmi will reportedly promise a 36-month lag-free experience on the Redmi 13 5G.
Finally, a word on cameras. The Redmi 13 5G will get a Samsung HM6 108MP main camera with 3x in-sensor zoom. There will also be a 2MP macro. On the front is a 13MP selfie camera.
