My issue is not that I’m not afraid of the jags, that’s fine.
They’re not good.
My issue is I’m not afraid of Trevor Lawrence and at some point as much money as Trevor Lawrence is getting paid.
Let’s be honest here, nobody’s sitting there saying, oh God, guys, man, we got to take on Trevor Lawrence this week.
How are we ever gonna win that game?
And at some point, they’re gonna have to answer the why of that.
Like they’ve tried to put weapons around him, they’ve tried to put a coach around him that can help him.
They’ve tried all of these things.
I’m just, I am not afraid of Trevor Lawrence.
I am afraid.
And when I’m watching that game, I’m thinking, man, you don’t want to give CJ Stroud the chance to win this game.
He will never want to talk that about Trevor Lawrence never.
And like there’s a play, he fits.
Brian Thomas ran a great route.
He’s a really good young rookie receiver.
He runs a great route.
He’s wide open and Trevor missed him by like five yards.
You’re the $55 million guy.
You have a receiver wide open down screaming down the middle of the field and you miss him.
It wasn’t even close.
It wasn’t even like he could dive for it.
Like it was like, that’s Trevor Lawrence right there.
There’s plays to be made.
You need to make them.
You’re supposed to be that dude.
If Brock Purdy misses the same pass, we are destroying Brock Purdy.
And to be clear, I would take Brock Purdy over Trevor Lawrence right now.
Yeah, I’d take Brock Purdy over Trevor Lawrence right now.
I know what I’m getting out of Brock Purdy.
At least it’s just so long since he played well that second half of the 2022 season when he got fired and he was really good.
Like, uh, where is that Trevor gone?
Like, because that guy, you say that that’s a top five quarterback, where’s he been?
Like, there’s just so much inconsistency and maybe it is a coaching staff and maybe it is a supporting cast, but it’s just not happening once you sign that contract for $235 million over five years, you’re the, you’re gotta be that dude.
I’m sorry, like, II, I can’t give you any more excuses when you’re making 55 million a year.
It’s just the, the buck stops with you and if that, if your team is zero and four, well, that’s on you.
I can’t make excuses for you anymore.
