The Toronto Raptors will host their annual open practice on the campus of McGill University.
The team announced that the open practice will take place on Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. ET at the G. Donald Love Competition Hall at McGill.
Proceeds from the event will go towards providing underserved youth in Montreal with free sessions at McGill Summer Sports Camp, the Raptors announced Tuesday.
Toronto will open up training camp in Montreal for the first time in franchise history. Their training camp will run from Oct. 1 to Oct. 5. Then the Raptors will tip off their preseason schedule against the Washington Wizards at the Bell Centre in Montreal on Oct. 6. This will mark Toronto’s seventh preseason game in Montreal.
The NBA’s Montreal event “Maison NBA,” which is an interactive and free cultural experience will debut in Montreal from Oct. 4 to Oct. 6. It will be in conjunction to the Raptors trip to Montreal. The event will take place at Crew Collective & Café in Old Montréal and will feature Raptors legend Vince Carter and fan favorite Jerome “Junkyard Dog” Williams along with WNBA player Natalie Achonwa.
Toronto’s trip to Montreal will be a homecoming for Canadian forward Chris Boucher along with Quincy Guerrier who the team just signed to an exhibit 10 deal. They’ll be joined on the Raptors roster by fellow Canadians RJ Barrett and Kelly Olynyk. Tickets for the open practice will go on sale on Sept. 25.
The Raptors will play five preseason games with just one taking place at Scotiabank Arena. The Raptors regular season will begin on Oct. 23 when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. ET.

After the team signed and waived Dylan Disu, Toronto inked Quincy Guerrier to an Exhibit 10 deal before the start of training camp next month, per Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy.
