The Toronto Raptors have filled up their roster ahead of training camp.
After the team signed and waived Dylan Disu, the Raptors have inked Quincy Guerrier to an Exhibit 10 deal before the start of training camp next month, per Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy.
This deal will allow the Raptors to keep Guerrier’s G League rights for next season once he is waived by the team.
The Raptors just did the exact same thing with Disu who will now join the Raptors 905 for next season after getting waived.
Guerrier is a Montreal native who was a fifth-year senior for Illinois last year. He averaged 9.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game with the team. The 6-foot-7 wing shot 37.4 percent from deep last season.
After this latest signing, the Raptors training camp roster is back to 21 players. It is believed that Toronto will make two more Exhibit 10 signings before training camp ends to fill out the rest of their G League roster.
All arrows point to Bruno Fernando making Toronto’s opening day roster as the team’s third-string center. He is on a standard non-guaranteed contract and it will pay him $2.4 million if he make the opening night roster for Toronto. The 6-foot-9 big man is the only player on a standard non-guaranteed deal at the moment.
Raptors training camp begins on Oct. 1.
Matt Bonner is returning to Toronto to cover the Raptors.
The former Raptors fan favorite will join Blake Murphy on the FAN 590. The duo will host the new hour-long “The Raptor Show,” the radio station announced on Sept. 23.
