The RCMP says a tractor trailer jackknifed east of the Trans-Canada Highway early Monday, blocking the road near the community of Coal Brook.

The obstruction is about 61 km east of Port aux Basques, police said Monday morning.

“The TCH is reportedly impassable at this time. RCMP are on the way to the scene,” the statement said, which was sent at 4:25 a.m. NT
