Amazon Prime Day 2024 is only a few days away with some of the season’s best deals just a mouse click away. There have been hints of what will be on sale this year. However, there is still an air of mystery about what will go on sale for the 48-hour sale. The big sale day, which starts Tuesday, July 16, usually has new deals, rare discounts and lightning deals across all categories, including kitchen, tech, home and outdoor, which can come up every few minutes during the two days.
Still, wondering if getting (or renewing) your Amazon Prime membership is worth it to get some of these sweet deals? Here’s everything you need to know to help make your decision.

There is only a 48-hour shopping window for people to find some of the best savings on must-have gadgets and home goods.
People can start shopping in the early morning hours on Tuesday, July 16. Amazon Prime Day launches at 12:01 a.m. PT, which means Tennessee shoppers can start getting deals at 2:01 a.m. CT/ 3:01 a.m. ET.

After the start time, shoppers have 48 hours, meaning people on the East Coast have extra time to grab deals. Tennesseans can grab deals until 2:01 a.m. CT/ 3:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, July 18.
Only people with Amazon Prime subscriptions can access the Prime Day deals when they drop.
Here’s where you can sign up for a free trial or join Prime. Newcomers can get a 30-day free trial, after which they have to pay the monthly fee of $14.99.
A standard Amazon Prime membership will run you $14.99 per month, or $139 for a one-year subscription. But students or qualifying government assistance recipients can sign up for Prime for up to 50% off.
As stated, before shopping deals on the retail giant’s annual two-day sale event a membership to Amazon Prime is needed. After that, news and existing members will have access to doorbuster deals on some favorite products—we are talking huge savings on headphones, robot vacuums, air fryers, televisions, clothes and so much more.
There are plenty of things on sale to add to your cart, but there are time limits set on some of the deals. If you want to shop with a bit more leisure ahead of Tuesday, there are plenty of incredible early Amazon deals leading up to the huge shopping event.
It may seem like everything under the sun is on sale for Amazon Prime Day and for the most part it is! But be aware that some of the sales have limited quantities or are only on sale for a certain amount of time.
