Katie Boulter has taken her seat in No1 Court to cheer on boyfriend Alex de Minaur.
The British No1 suffered a heartbreaking second round defeat to compatriot Harriet Dart last week.
She is seemingly in good spirits today as she looks to cheer on De Minaur to his first ever Wimbledon quarter-final.
Boulter is sat next to fellow British player Jodie Burrage, who was unfortunately ruled out of Wimbledon a few weeks ago with an ankle injury.
American star Madison Keys has updated fans after having to retire from her fourth round clash with Jasmine Paolini yesterday.
She wrote on social media: “Well… the ending of yesterday’s match was probably one of my toughest moments ever on court.
“Unfortunately during the match, I injured my hamstring. I’ll be getting an MRI soon to see exactly what happened and what the severity of the injury is.
“I have a lot of mixed emotions that my Wimbledon ended like this and really appreciate all the nice messages I’ve gotten.
“Time to go home and get better.”
Lorenzo Musetti has taken a two sets to one lead over birthday boy Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard over on No2 Court.
The Italian is just one set away from his first ever Grand Slam quarter-final, leading 4-6 6-3 6-3.
He will be looking to get the job done as soon as possible, with the prospect of rain still looming.
We are set to get underway shortly under the roof on No1 Court, with Alex de Minaur taking on Mpetshi Perricard’s fellow exciting youth Frenchman Arthur Fils.
The players are set to emerge in around 10 minutes time.
The ATP Tour have approved a rule change allowing players to ask ball kids to hand them towels during matches.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, the sight of ball kids having to give players their sweaty towels between points was a common one.
As hygiene measures were tightened amid Covid measures, players were forced to go and get their own towels.
With tennis chiefs eager to decrease time between points, however, the rule is now set to revert back.
Tennis reporter Jon Wertheim wrote on social media this morning: “Notice to prospective ballkids…From the @atptour recent meetings:
“Board approved a rule change to permit players to request and be handed towels between points, as was customary before the Covid-19 pandemic.
“All ATP tournaments must accommodate this provision. This rule change will take effect starting after Wimbledon.”
