A woman and her boyfriend were late Tuesday in a verbal argument when she retrieved a gun and shot the man to death at a Fort Worth house, according to police.
The man, whose name and age the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has not released, was shot about 11:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of East 1st Street.
Fort Worth police took the woman into custody at the scene. Police had not at midmorning Wednesday released her name or age.
Police said they found the suspect in front of the house and the victim inside of it. The victim suffered at least one gunshot wound to his torso.
The man was pronounced dead at the house.
The East 1st Street killing was the second homicide in the city on Tuesday. Anthony Young, 63, was shot to death during a fight Tuesday morning in the 2900 block of South Riverside Drive, authorities said.
