There has been an update on the potential break-up of a current WWE tag team after the pair competed tonight in Toronto at NXT Heatwave.
At the NXT Heatwave premium live event in Toronto there was a tag team title match with current champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer defending against Chase U’s Andre Chase and Duke Hudson.
During the pre-show, there was an issue between Axiom and Frazer as Frazer arrived late to the show, just minutes before Heatwave went on the air.
This was just the latest on a list of growing issues between the two, as Axiom has previously taken Frazer to task for focusing too much on his singles career instead of their team.
It seemed the issues may have spilled over into the match as Frazer did accidentally superkick Axiom at one point, but they made a recovery.
In the end, Axiom and Nathan Frazer retained their WWE NXT Tag Team Championship despite the recent teases that the duo could be headed for a split.
Elsewhere already at tonight’s NXT Heatwave event, a pair of title retentions for the NXT North American Championships.
Successfully defending the NXT Women’s North American Championship, Kelani Jordan picked up the win against Sol Ruca.
And despite a valiant effort from Wes Lee to recapture the North American Championship, Oba Femi retained.
