Brazil have confirmed Lucas Beraldo will participate in the upcoming international break after earning a late call-up on Thursday.
The 20-year-old centre-back replaces the injured Bremer, who ruptured his ACL during Juventus’ Champions League clash with RB Leipzig.
“Unfortunately, we have received news of a serious injury to the athlete Bremer, a person who deserves all our respect, consideration, affection and support, so that he can return as soon as possible,” said national team coach Dorival Jr.
“In his place, we are calling up Beraldo, from PSG.”
Beraldo has played for the Seleção just three times but has become a go-to name for PSG, featuring in six games for the Ligue 1 champions this season across all competitions.
