Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has announced that he will miss a ‘few weeks’ of action after an injury sustained during the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa last weekend.
The centre-back pulled up just before half-time in that game, forcing boss Erik ten Hag into making a substitution.
“Frustrated to pick up an injury at the weekend,” Maguire wrote on Instagram. “Will be a few weeks on the sideline for me but I’ll come back stronger.”
In terms of options in the backline, Ten Hag has Mathijis De Ligt, Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martínez, and a fit-again Victor Lindelöf to choose from.
