Barcelona will be without the services of Dani Olmo for at least a month after an injury sustained against Girona.
The marquee summer signing has suffered from a tough start to his Blaugrana career, having had to wait for his debut following registration issues.
But he has impressed upon featuring, most recently in the 4-1 win over Girona in which he scored but also picked up a hamstring injury.
“Tests conducted on Monday have revealed an injury to the right hamstring,” Barcelona announced. “He’s expected to be unavailable for about four to five weeks.”
That is likely to rule him out of Barça’s first three Champions League fixtures and he faces a fitness battle to return for El Clásico against Real Madrid on October 27.
