RCMP say they have arrested three women in connection with a Friday homicide in northern Saskatchewan.
La Ronge RCMP were called around 6:30 a.m. Friday to a home on Otter Street in Air Ronge, where they found a 28-year-old man seriously injured. He was taken to hospital, where he was declared dead.
The early investigation led officers to arrest three women later that day, but they have not been charged, according to an RCMP news release. The RCMP major crimes unit continues to investigate.
The victim is from the La Ronge area, and his family has been notified, RCMP said.
The village of Air Ronge is about 350 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon, and is part of the tri-community area along with the town of La Ronge and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
