Southwest beginner and amateur tennis players can now sign up for lessons with the Tennis Association of Swift Current for their Adult Beginner 2 lessons.
The lessons are geared toward adults with some tennis experience and take place at the Riverside Park Tennis Courts, beginning on July 16.
Kimberley Hartwig, a coach with the Tennis Association of Swift Current, noted that the lessons will be similar to the springtime tennis clinics.
“This time we have opened up a new adult group of lessons, this is Adult Beginner 2,” she said. “That’s for any adult, ages 15 and up, that has completed our Beginner 1 lessons or players that maybe played a few years ago.
Hartwig noted that the lessons will continue building on and refining basic skills including serves, forehand and backhand, tactics, court positioning, and more.
“We have groups open for children’s lessons as well,” added Hartwig. “For any age and any level we have a lesson available for them.”
Anyone interested in registering for the lessons can email the Tennis Association of Swift Current at tennisswiftcurrent@yahoo.com before the registration deadline on July 12.
