It’s been two years since Amanda Owen and Clive split and announced the end of Our Yorkshire Farm.
Life has changed for the farming stars who become beloved household names on their Channel 5 series after first shooting to stardom on The Dales in 2011. Admittedly Amanda has said she hasn’t got her “happy ending” as the couple return to our screens with Our Farm Next Door on Monday night.
So what has happened in the past two years? Lots has happened as their nine children (Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine and Nancy) have been growing up, a new friendship has formed between the exes and the whole family embarked on their latest adventure Our Farm Next Door.

As the family return for the new series, Amanda has been sharing photographs of her children on social media. Fans of the series were struck by how much had changed in the past two years and admitted they couldn’t recognise which of the Owens were who.
In all fairness, it’s clear the kids have done a lot of growing up in that time. The photograph that really struck viewers was of Amanda herself with two of her children, Raven and Violet. Among the comments, one person wrote: “Didn’t recognise Raven. Who is it either side of her ?”
Others said: “So hard to tell who’s who with their headgear on. But suspect these are the younger ones. So long since we’ve seen them . Would love to know what they are all doing.”
Another added: “Need a caption, can’t tell who’s who, all grown up now!”
Someone else said: “How lovely to have a sighting of you Amanda you look like Ravens sister,I can’t make out Violet clearly, even when I enlarge the photo. However I am in agreement with a lot of others, we would love to see you all on a show.Like a catchup on dear old friends. The production was absolutely fantastic I feel proud of the way you brought the family up, the children are very special and adult.”
One of the three pictured was Raven, who is the eldest of the Owen brood and she went off to York St. John University after starring on Our Yorkshire Farm. In 2022, she graduated with a First in biomedical science and she’s the only one to have flown the nest.
Also notably out of the Owen kids, Reuben returned to our screens with his own Channel 5 series Life In The Dales which saw him set up a digger business. His relationship played out on the series but he has since split from his girlfriend Sarah Dow.
Ahead of the new series, Amanda talked about her children growing up and teaching them valuable life lessons. She said on Lorraine: “We had nine of them, only one has actually left home. It seems like they gravitate back. In an ideal world I’d have one child in a hot country at all times so I could move round and get past some of this cold Yorkshire weather for a while. When you’ve been brought up here it’s in you, it’s life lessons, it gives you a real grounding a sense of purpose and you’ll take that with you wherever you go in life.”

Amanda and Clive have remained focussed on their family unit following the breakdown of their marriage after 22 years.
In the preview for Our Farm Next Door obtained by The Sun, Amanda opened up on how the couple clashed with each other. She said: “I do his head in and he does my head in. But we are basically on the same side.”
Despite their disagreements, the Yorkshire Shepherdess has said she is “proud” of their new found friendship. “I am proud of where we have got to,” she told The Mirror of their friendship in a new interview. “Life throws you some funny curve balls, but it’s how you overcome them and move forward. It’s about building the blocks again.”

Secretly, the whole family had been working on their next TV project with More4 in the time that has passed. Our Farm Next Door, which returns to our screens on Monday night, documented the family uniting together to renovate the derelict farmhouse known locally as Anty Johns that is a place they can call their own.
Amanda gave an insight into how challenging the renovation was at times for the family and the film crew, especially when it came to facing off the tough weather conditions.
She said: “It is fantastic More4 have given us the opportunity to showcase what we do best, working as a team and battling the elements whilst trying to reinstate the farm next door to its former glory. It is no exaggeration to say that filming outdoors on an exposed hill end in Swaledale was at times a huge challenge for the Wise Owl film crew, but their dedication and enthusiasm has never waned. This new project has been a huge undertaking for the whole family and one we are excited to be able to share with the viewers at home.”
Watch Our Farm Next Door on More4 on Monday at 9pm.
