Shelton – Jubb: 27.06.2024
H2H: 2-0
Ben Shelton has lost three of his last five matches. Right now, Ben is struggling with his form. Last week in London, Shelton lost his first round match against Mpetshi Perricard in straight sets. Even though his playing style should fit this surface perfectly, Ben never had any remarkable results on grass. Here in Mallorca, Ben absolutely dominated against Hijikata, winning in easy straight sets. Last year in Mallorca, Shelton lost in the first round against Chris Eubanks.
Paul Jubb has won four of his last five matches. Last week in London, Jubb lost in the qualifying tournament against McDonald in straight sets. Here in Mallorca, Paul fought through the qualifying tournament by winning both matches in straight sets. In the first qualifying round, Jubb won against Joan Nadal. After that, Jubb won against Monteiro in two easy sets. In the first round, Jubb defeated Marterer in two easy sets. Today, Jubb dominated from the very start against Walton and won the match in straight sets as we predicted.
According to the bookies, Shelton is the favorite in this matchup. Jubb looked confident so far here in Mallorca. He has also played great tennis in all of his matches so far. Ben never had any remarkable results on grass.
That being said, Jubb covering the games handicap is a value bet.

Mensik – Tabilo: 27.06.2024 Time TBA
H2H: first meeting
Jakub Mensik has lost three of his last five matches. Mensik had a breakthrough season. However, the injuries stopped his great run. Last week in Halle, Mensik lost in the first qualifying round against Otte in straight sets. So far in his career, Jakub has played only six matches on grass, and has an even 3-3 record. Here in Mallorca, Mensik defeated Eubanks in the first round in three sets. Jakub had an amazing serving performance, which was the main reason why he won that match. After that, Mensik won against Fognini after he was set down. Being so inexperienced on grass, Mensik is still inconsistent in his matches.
Alejandro Tabilo has lost three of his last five matches. Last week in London, Tabilo lost against Tommy Paul in straight sets. That was also his first grass court tournament of the season. Here in Mallorca, Tabilo absolutely dominated against Shevchenko. Alejandro offered, but also saved 5 breakpoints. Even though he is a big server, and has a huge forehand, Tabilo finds it hard playing on grass courts. Last season, Tabilo played only one match on grass, which was at Wimbledon. He lost there in the first qualifying round against Herbert.
According to the bookies, Tabilo is just the slight favorite in this matchup. Both players are inconsistent at the moment, and at a similar level. We expect a very tight match with possible tiebreaks.
That being said, over games is a value bet.
