Bill Belichick will be “Inside the NFL” as he sits outside the coaching world.
Belichick, an eight-time Super Bowl champion, will be an analyst of the CW Network show, which will return on Friday, Aug. 30.
“Bill Belichick joining ‘Inside the NFL’ is a true game-changer for this storied franchise and The CW,” said Dennis Miller, president of The CW Network, said in a press release.
“Not only is he one of the most accomplished coaches in NFL history, but his knowledge and passion for football is truly unmatched. Fans will now get the chance to hear his insights and better understand the nuances of the game from the master himself. We cannot wait for Bill, Ryan, Chad, and Chris to deliver a championship-caliber show all season long.”
After splitting with the Patriots this offseason and failing to land another coaching, the 72-year-old Belichick has engraved himself into the sports media landscape.
Belichick is also expected to appear on the “Pat McAfee Show” throughout the season and will make regular appearances on the “Manning-Cast” airing on Monday nights.
“I’m thrilled to join my new team at NFL Films and to work on such a historic television franchise,” Belichick via the press release. “I’ve always appreciated ‘Inside the NFL’s’ depth of analysis, and I hope to bring the same detailed insight to The CW by talking real football with real pros – Ryan, Chris and Chad – this coming season.”
It was speculated that Belichick was the front-runner to be the Atlanta Falcons head coach before they eventually gave the job to Raheem Morris.
Belichick recently went viral for his relationship with 23-year-old former cheerleader Jordon Hudson.
The legendary Patriots coach has dominated headlines as the two have been seen together going out on dates in Nantucket and more.
