Cal Huston, current defenseman for the USHL’s Youngstown Phantoms, has announced his commitment to Miami (Ohio).
A product of Youngstown, Ohio, Huston will suit up for the RedHawks in 2025-26. With the Phantoms this year, Huston has registered one assist in five regular season games.
In his first year of junior hockey last season, Huston spent time with the Phantoms and the NAHL’s Maryland Black Bears. In one game with Youngstown, he was held pointless but he collected 21 assists in 50 regular season games with Maryland.
A smooth skating, offensive minded defenseman, Huston has the ability to create with the puck on his stick and should be a solid add for the RedHawks when he makes the jump in 2025.
