Glasgow City beat Queen’s Park 8-0 to move level on points with SWPL leaders Rangers and Hearts.
With Rangers as well Celtic having been in Women’s Champions League action over the previous five days, neither were playing weekend league games and City took advantage.
Natalia Wrobel converted following Sofia Maatta’s set-up to give Glasgow the lead.
Queen’s Park fell further behind in first-half added time as Lisa Forrest netted.
City were awarded a penalty after the break and Nicole Kozlova converted. Maatta soon scored twice in quick succession.
Aleigh Gambone added her name to the list of scorers before Kozlova got two more to complete her hat-trick.
Partick Thistle were comfortable 4-0 winners on the road against Motherwell while Aberdeen and Dundee United took a point each from their 1-1 draw in the north east.
Montrose face Spartans in Sunday’s late afternoon kick-off, which is live on BBC Alba, iPlayer and the BBC Sport website and app.
Hearts defeated hosts Hibernian 4-0 in Friday’s Edinburgh derby to move level on points with Rangers, though with an inferior goal difference. City are third, two points above Celtic, who like Rangers have a game in hand.
Tiree Burchill’s low drive gave Thistle the lead at Fir Park and Hannah Robinson’s long-range lob doubled Partick’s advantage in the 40th minute.
Goalkeeper Emily Mutch’s own goal following Cara Henderson’s shot stretched the visitors’ advantage and Emma Lawton added a late fourth.
Dundee United had the better of things against Aberdeen but had to settle for a point.
Katie Frew sent an effort off the crossbar and Megan Burns headed over before team-mate Ella Cowie’s fine strike put the Tangerines in front.
However, Aberdeen were level by the interval through Niamh Noble.
Megan Sidey’s excellent save denied Freya Brien a winner for the visitors, who also threatened through Ashley Robertson.
