The Roadrunners Athletics Club has received $4,000 raised at the annual Hawkesbury Mayor’s Golf Tournament.
The tournament took place on June 15 and attracted 88 players. Additional funds raised at the tournament will be used to organize other free community activities.
“An event like this is important to promote initiatives that highlight youth and sports. Emphasizing the importance of being active will help shape youth with essential values for the future,” Hawkesbury Mayor Robert Lefevbvre said.
The Mayor’s Golf Tournament aims to raise funds to support community initiatives that emphasize the importance of being active. During the past five years, the tournament has raised more than $40,000 for sports-related organizations.
