He’s shaped like a potential stayer in three runs over the minimum trip so far and GLIMPSE OF GLORY steps up to two-and-a-half miles in the Worcester finale.
He does so off the back of a pleasing handicap debut at Southwell when second to Mostly Sunny, staying on well from two out. He’s unexposed, improving and on an unchanged mark.
CROWN ESTATE – 3.15 Salisbury
He’s run three solid races in handicaps this season and this looks a good opening for CROWN ESTATE.
Kieran Shoemark’s mount pulled nicely clear of the third when second to the progressive Liveandletlive at Haydock last time and while up 3lb, cheekpieces go on for the first time and the yard are going well. He’ll sit handy too in a race that doesn’t look to have many obvious pace angles.
RED PIXIE – 5.15 Carlisle
She’s been a work in progress but the penny is starting to drop with RED PIXIE and she’s an interesting handicap debutant for a powerful team in the last at Carlisle.
A well-bred daughter of Kingman, she was too keen through her first two races but settled much better over six furlongs at Windsor last time. She shaped there as if needing this return to seven, the stiff track should suit too and an opening mark of 79 looks workable with William Buick booked.
SPUN TO GOLD – 7.10 Kempton
He’s been running consistently well this season and SPUN TO GOLD looks a bet for Oisin Murphy and Andrew Balding.
The son of Justify finished third in a seven furlong handicap here last time, staying on, and will be suited by the return to a mile on Wednesday. He has a good draw and strong pace to aim at too.
SILENT FLAME – 7.20 Ffos Las
Rod Millman’s team are going well right now and SILENT FLAME could be another winner for them.
She’s been out-of-sorts so far this term but showed more when sixth at Goodwood last time and tumbles into a Class 6 at Ffos Las. She won on her only previous visit to the track and is very well handicapped if she is on the way back.
