A Vancouver band that honours Canadian music legend Shania Twain is coming to Penticton.
The Hub on Martin will host ‘The Shania Show: Tribute to Shania Twain,’ on Sunday, Sept. 22.
Show starts at 8 p.m., with the band set to play two hours of music from Twain’s acclaimed discography, including hits like ‘Man! I Feel Like a Woman!’ and ‘Any Man of Mine.’
Led by singer Chelsea Charlton, the group is currently on tour across B.C.
Charlton — a horse trainer and original musician with a catalogue of her own — has often been mistaken on promotional materials for being the real Twain, according to the band.
“A lot of people say our Shania has a striking resemblance to the real Shania!” wrote Eric McCauley, a member of the tribute group.
The band is spending the weekend playing shows in Revelstoke, Kamloops, Quesnel before wrapping up its more than four-month tour in Penticton.
Tickets for the tribute group’s show at the Hub on Martin can be purchased at Eventbrite, or the door.
