It’s been a busy week for smart light launches with both Lifx and Cync launching new devices, and Hue’s sister brand Wiz also getting in on the launch bonanza too.
Here’s everything you need to know:
GE Lighting, now under the Savant umbrella, has made its Reveal HD+ Smart Undercabinet Fixtures available.
These lights are the first full-color, edge-lit smart undercabinet lights.
Available in bar light and puck shapes, up to 10 fixtures can be connected, offering millions of color options and a full range of whites.
Installation is straightforward with captive screws, and the lights can be plugged in or hardwired.
Matter compatibility should ensure seamless integration with other smart home devices, alongside native support for Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
These fixtures are available at Amazon, Lowe’s, and Best Buy, with pricing starting at $59.99.
Lifx continues its resurgence with the new Lifx SuperColor Ceiling Light, a Matter-compatible Wi-Fi smart light priced at just under $100.
This affordable alternative to competitors like Aqara, Nanoleaf, and Hue offers two addressable lights and a range of dynamic effects, such as overhead sky simulations and abstract art.
With 56 addressable downlight zones, the ceiling light also supports custom automations for notifications through platforms like Apple Home, Alexa, and SmartThings.
Featuring Polychrome Technology and a tunable white light range from 1,500K to 9,000K, the Lifx SuperColor Ceiling Light is available now from The Home Depot in black or white.
Signify’s WiZ brand has launched a series of new smart lights, including Matter-compatible LED lightstrips.
The standout product is the 5m Neon Flex RGBIC strip, capable of creating intricate patterns with individually addressable segments.
Traditional RGBIC lightstrips in various lengths are also part of the lineup. These can be controlled via the Wiz app, voice assistants, and the new Wiz Smart Dial Switch, which can control multiple Wiz lights within a 15m range.
WiZ’s new Music Sync feature uses your phone’s microphone to synchronize lighting effects with music.
Additionally, WiZ also introduced a new 20m Smart Fairy Light for outdoor use, new GU10 bulbs, and the outdoor Matter-compatible Wall Light Classic.
These additions follow a bunch of new launches from WiZ this year, cementing its position as more than just a budget alternative to Hue.
