One Mile Productions will be filming in Parksville over the next two weeks and during this time there will be minor disruptions to accommodate their requests, according to a news release by the City of Parksville.
The large gravel lot behind the curling rink in Parksville Community Park will be closed to the public from Sept. 18 to Sept. 20 and again from Sept. 24 to Sept. 26.
During these days, the lot will not be opened by city staff and park visitors will be required to use alternative parking areas in the park.
A portion of the Top Bridge parking lot off Chattell Road will be used for production company work vehicles from Sept. 24 to Sept. 26.
Filming on private property on Lodgepole Drive will occur this week.
Residents in the area have been advised and vehicles may experience intermittent traffic control with stops up to three minutes at a time.
“We are pleased to accommodate One Mile Productions filming in Parksville and wish them much success,” the release said.
