BOZEMAN, Montana – Montana State men’s tennis coach Rob Bareford strengthened his team’s 2024-25 lineup on Wednesday, adding Radford transfer Aditya Balsekar.
A senior at MSU this season, Balsekar was one of the top players in the Big South Conference from 2021-23. The native of Mumbai, India, compiled a 43-8 singles record, 17-13 in doubles, earning First Team All-Big South singles honors as a sophomore and junior and landing Big South Player of the Week honors once as a sophomore. He was unbeaten against conference competition as a sophomore (7-0) and junior (5-0).
“”I recruited Aditya to Radford University back in January of 2021 and we won one, almost two, championships together,” Bareford said. “I can’t wait to be able to Coach him on the courts again.”
Balsekar earned an ATP rank of 1334 in singles and 2055 in doubles, and won an ITF Junior Championship in Bangledash.
“The supportive atmosphere at Montana State University, combined with Coach Rob’s expert guidance, made me confident that my tennis and academic journey would be both successful and fulfilling,” Balsekar said.
