Naomi Watts headed for a shopping spree in Prada on Friday, after coming under fire for attending Balenciaga’s Paris Fashion Week show.
The actress, 55, and Nicole Kidman were criticised for attending the designer’s showcase earlier this week following the brand’s BDSM photo scandal.
But Naomi seemingly shrugged off the drama as she headed out in the city.
The Hollywood star cut an elegant figure in a dusk pink shirt, complete with floral detailing.
Naomi paired the sheer number with some white ankle grazer trousers and made sure she was comfortable for her spree in some black and white Adidas Sambas that cost around £90.
She tied her blonde tresses back and covered her face with a pair of trendy black sunglasses.
The celebrations came amid a social media furore over the fact the pair attended the Balenciaga Paris Fashion Week show earlier in the week, following the brand’s BDSM photo scandal.
Nearly two years ago, the brand was plunged into scandal and forced to apologise over an ad campaign that prompted even frequent Balenciaga model Kim Kardashian to declare she was ‘outraged’ and ‘disgusted.’
Some pictures in the campaign showed children holding teddy-bear-shaped purses that were dressed in what appeared to be bondage gear.
One photo was of a handbag on a desk strewn with various papers – including a United States Supreme Court ruling involving child pornography.
A particularly controversial picture showed a child lying down on a couch next to a coffee table that held empty wineglasses and Stella Artois chalices.
Kim publicly announced she was ‘shaken by the disturbing images’ and was ‘reevaluating my relationship’ with Balenciaga.
However Nicole – who had recently starred in a separate Balenciaga campaign – never buckled under the pressure to issue her own statement denouncing the brand, even while social media commentators furiously demanded she do so.
As the dust settled, Kim decided to remain in the Balenciaga fold, officially becoming the face of the fashion house this January.
Meanwhile Nicole demonstrated her own loyalty to the firm when she and Naomi cheerfully attended its latest fashion show in Paris this week.

Nicole was joined by her daughter Sunday Rose, 15, while Naomi’s teen Kai, also, 15, attended alongside her Hollywood star mother.
Many parents expressed their outrage at the famous duo for attending a fashion show by the controversial brand.
‘I simply cannot believe that anyone, particularly a parent, would associate with this brand. Much less GIVE them positive publicity and support,’ one person wrote.
‘Such poor taste to associate with this brand,’ another commented.
‘Eww. Balenciaga are Not Like Us,’ a third agreed while one said: ‘Supporting [this] brand. How predictable.’
Naomi looked every inch the movie star in a white blazer with a structured collar, allowing a sultry peek at her décolletage.
The Impossible star added a matching pencil skirt and dangling pearl earrings, elevating the chic look with white gloves.
She styled her short blonde hair in elegant curls and sported oversized shades and a slick of pink lipstick.
