The popular Iced Capp, a frozen coffee beverage made with milk or cream, has turned 25 years old in Canada, and the coffee house giant has introduced a new Caramilk Iced Capp, along with the return of the “fan favourite” Oreo Double Stuff Iced Capp.
The Caramilk Iced Capp features Tims’ original Iced Capp base along with a blend of milk chocolate chunks, whipped topping, and a drizzling of caramel syrup.
The Oreo Iced Capp is blended with Oreo cookie crumble and vanilla syrup, plus a layer of vanilla-flavoured whipped topping.
Tim Hortons will also have the Mango Starfruit Sparkling Quencher on its menu this spring and summer.
“My favourite season is beginning — cold beverage season — and Tims has some incredibly delicious, flavourful, and thirst-quenching options to enjoy all spring and summer long,” says Carolina Berti, vice-president of category and innovation at Tim Hortons. “And it’s so exciting to be celebrating a big anniversary for the beloved Iced Capp, an iconic frozen drink that’s unique to Tims and a summertime institution for so many of our guests across Canada.”
Tim Hortons new spring and summer cold beverages are “now available” at Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada, the company said in an April 11 release.
The new Iced Capp is garnering some interesting reviews online.
“The flavour is good. The chunks are amazing. Looks like cookie dough, and it still looks very appetizing,” commented @JayDedam on X. “The only thing that sucks is that the chunks will gather up and get stuck in the straw. Other than that, delicious.”
Cassandra Marie said on Facebook she’s happy with the new Iced Capp, as “it’s about time they did Caramilk.”
Tammy Boss meanwhile, said her love for Caramilk compelled her to stop at a Tim Hortons to get the new Iced Capp.
The new Iced Capp announcement comes several days after the company announced some savoury new foods are now available at Tim Hortons coffee shops across the country.
