Yahoo Sports’ Caroline Fenton talks with former NFL QB Robert Griffin III about the Kansas City Chiefs and why they are poised to win their third-straight Super Bowl. Robert Griffin III joins Yahoo Sports on behalf of Snickers.
I am Caroline Fenton for Yahoo Sports joined now by former Heisman trophy winner NFL quarterback and now football analyst, Robert Griffin the third.
He is with us, thanks to Snickers and we will get to that in a bit, but we had college football week zero or just a couple weeks away from the NFL.
So we’re gonna start with a little bit of football and I want to start in the NFL because it feels like this entire off season, Robert, it’s been a sense of inevitability with the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes and look, that’s for good reason.
That’s fair right back to back Super Bowl champions, in your opinion.
Are we poised for a Chiefs?
Three pe I fully believe if you’re picking a team to win the Super Bowl right now, you can’t pick against the Kansas City Chiefs.
What they’ve done this off-season adding Xavier Worthy.
They brought in Hollywood Brown.
I know he’s gonna be out for a little bit of time, but they added so much speed, which last year was something that they didn’t necessarily have on the outside.
Was that super big play ability?
Now, they were still ranked really high in their downfield passing percentages, um when it came to across the league, but they didn’t have that same field did when they had Tyreek Hill.
So now you bring in X Xavier Worthy the NFL record holder in the 40 who is so much more than just a deep threat, right?
Him and Brian, uh, Thomas Junior who plays the Jags are actually really good route runners and you tag him with the greatest quarterback we’ve ever seen.
In my opinion, he’s not the, the greatest quarterback ever yet, but he is the one that we’ve seen and he’s trying to do something that no one’s ever done.
So I do believe the Chiefs are poised to three peat, uh, until someone proves me otherwise, that’s the team that I would bet on.
You are teaming up with Snickers and its new Sad Fortunes campaign.
So tell us about that.
Yeah.
So Snickers is the official chocolate sponsor of the NFL and we always say that fan is short for fanatic, right?
So Snickers is coming up with new ways for fans to kind of get into the action and maybe predict a little bit of how their team’s season is gonna go.
So they partner with a fortune teller by the name of Choco Master to make sure that based off of their bite, they can go out and predict what’s gonna happen.
So this one right here is an Eagles, you know, special packaging.
They did this for the 21 team sponsors.
Um, what I look at it as is it, it’s a great way to get in on, on the fandom, but also a great excuse to enjoy delicious Snickers fans.
Just so, you know, I already have my kit, this kit right here.
You can get your own at snickers.com backslash S Fortunes.
