Hockey Manitoba took to social media to celebrate one of the southeast’s most decorated hockey players.
On the same weekend Jocelyne Larocque was picking up a gold medal with Team Canada in the Women’s World Hockey Championship, a mural of her was going up at Manitoba’s headquarters for sport.
“It’s fitting that this mural went up over the weekend on the main floor of the Sport Manitoba Building.”
Larocque now has 27 medals from international play including 14 gold.
Canada beat the U.S.A. in overtime on Sunday to claim their latest championship. Larocque had one goal and four assists over seven games in the tournament.
