Kazakh Elena Rybakina, the No 4 seed, advanced to the semi-finals of Wimbledon by winning against Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, the No 21 seed, 6-3, 6-2 at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Londres on Wednesday afternoon.
Rybakina, ranked No 4, will play the winner of the match between Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 13 seed, and No 31 seed Barbora Krejcikova next.
The Kazakh defeated Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-3, 6-1), German Laura Siegemund (6-3, 3-6, 6-3), Dane wildcard Caroline Wozniacki (6-0, 6-1) and Russian Anna Kalinskaya, the No 17 seed (6-3, 3-0 ret.) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Svitolina, ranked No 21, beat Pole Magda Linette (7-5, 6-7 (9), 6-3), German Jule Niemeier (6-3, 6-4), Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the No 10 seed (6-1, 7-6 (4)) and Chinese Xinyu Wang (6-2, 6-1).
