Croat Donna Vekic won against New Zealander qualifier Lulu Sun 5-7, 6-4, 6-1 to reach the last 4 of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Londres on Tuesday afternoon.
Vekic, ranked No 37, will face the winner of the match between Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 7 seed, and American Emma Navarro, the No 19 seed, next.
The Croat defeated Chinese Xiyu Wang (3-6, 6-3, 6-4), Russian lucky loser Erika Andreeva (6-2, 6-3), Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, the No 28 seed (7-6 (4), 6-7 (3), 6-1) and Spaniard Paula Badosa (6-2, 1-6, 6-4) ahead of her victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Sun, ranked No 123, beat Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 8 seed (4-6, 6-2, 6-4), Ukrainian qualifier Yulia Starodubtseva (4-6, 6-3, 6-2), Chinese Lin Zhu (7-6 (4), 7-6 (6)) and wildcard Emma Raducanu (6-2, 5-7, 6-2).
