Detroit took Dallas back behind the woodshed and showed him what a real football team does.
Detroit took Dallas and marched them up and down the streets, screaming, shame, shame, shame.
And the craziest thing to me, Frank is that Dallas never had the opportunity to even try to punch back.
They didn’t have it in them.
And today is the first time in years as somebody that’s constantly said, hey, look, the Cowboys, I’m not going to define the Cowboys by the playoffs.
I’ve said that for years.
Today is the first time I actually watched the Cowboys and thought this is a bad football team and there’s just no nice way to say it.
They have too much talent to be as bad as they are.
And I’ve been long since on the Jerry Jones doesn’t make in season firings.
Like let’s calm down on the mccarthy thing.
You gotta do something this season is now going wildly off the rails.
And to me, it’s not that they lost 47 to 9.
It’s not that Detroit was running trick plays with their offensive linemen lined up at the wide receiver position.
It’s not any of that.
It’s that Dallas got punched in the mouth and looked at the, the Lions and just said, please, sir, may I have another?
There wasn’t a single time that they stood up and punched back and said, damn it, we’re the Cowboys.
They just stood there and took a beating.
And that’s, that’s what bad football teams do.
I don’t, I don’t know how you get your confidence back from that sort of ass whooping.
I came out of this game maybe not 100 0, but 7525 thinking this was the Lions statement game.
This was not necessarily the Cowboys like, yes, they were terrible.
I get that to me.
I came out of this thing.
I just learned a lot about the Lions.
They’re really, really good.
They’re on offense as unstoppable as there is in the league.
If you try to take one thing away, they’re gonna say, well, ok, have fun.
We’ll just do this other thing like they, they can do whatever they want.
David Montgomery is maybe the most underrated player in the NFL because he just keeps churning out 100 yard games of touchdowns.
Jamir Gibbs is obviously electric.
They have all these pass catchers now, but it’s like the Lions were just like, we’re not just going to beat these guys, we’re going to embarrass them.
