Readers of Condé Nast Traveler voted seven resorts in British Columbia into Canada’s top 10.
The travel magazine recently released the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards, which includes hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines, cities, airports, and trains across the globe.
Over 575,000 readers submitted ratings based on their travel experiences, offering a comprehensive look at places they’d visit and services they’d use again.
The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler was ranked the top accommodation in Canada by Condé Nast readers, lauded for its “unforgettable mountain views,” a full-service spa, L’Occitane bath products, and spacious rooms with fireplaces and balconies.
The Fairmont Tremblant ranked second, followed by The Fairmont Chateau Whistler in third. The second Whistler accommodated was praised for its new Alpine Suites that feature “spa showers, a fireplace, and sprawling mountain views” and an award-winning culinary team led by executive chef Isabel Chung.
The Spirit Ridge – The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Osoyoos ranked fifth, featuring sweeping vineyard views.
A third Whistler resort, the Nita Lake Lodge, placed sixth, and noted for rooms with “double-soaker tubs, basalt-rock fireplaces, and heated floors.” The report’s authors add that it is the only lakeside lodge in the area and has an excellent spa and cuisine.
Three more B.C. hotels landed on the list including The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler in eighth, the Long Beach Lodge Resort in Tofino in ninth, and the Brentwood Bay Resort in tenth.
