ESPN continued their positional rankings on Friday, and once again, a member of the Kansas City Chiefs topped the list.
Tight end Travis Kelce, whose statistics and accolades place him amongst the greatest pass-catchers of all-time, remains the best in the business at his position heading into 2024 according to this year’s rankings. Kelce joined Chris Jones as members of the Chiefs to nab a No. 1 spot at their position, as Jones earned the No. 1 spot among defensive tackles earlier in the week.
In terms of how the polling took place, the rankings reflected the thoughts of nearly 80 league executives, coaches and scouts who were surveyed as part of the project.
Here’s a portion of what the article’s author, Jeremy Fowler, wrote about Kelce:
“His 51 receiving first downs and 65.6 yards per game ranked first among tight ends. And under the bright playoff lights, Kelce delivered with 32 catches for 355 yards and three touchdowns in four games.”
