Anita Anand enjoyed a little fun and unique influence yesterday.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the Oakville MP and minister of transport and internal trade shared that she had officially cleared Santa for tonight’s gift-delivery journey across Canada ahead of Christmas.

A quick conference call with Jolly Old Saint Nicholas put a rubber stamp on the approval, with Santa and his reindeer reportedly well rested and eagerly awaiting their travels.

“I’m delighted to authorize Santa’s travel in Canadian airspace,” said Anand.
