00:08 — Apple announced its AI Initiative and Privacy Cloud Compute (PCC) effort last month. It’ll be rolling out Apple Intelligence, which intends to bring AI capabilities to iPhones, iPads, and MacOS. This is going to occur through a partnership it announced with OpenAI, enabled by ChatGPT.
00:36 — It’s estimated that the capability will be available in the fall. An interesting aspect was PCC — “a new frontier for AI privacy in the cloud.” It’s been among the most comprehensive, publicly available approaches to securing AI usage by a large technology company that I’ve seen so far.

Will they be using my data to train their models? Will personnel in the organization have access to my data? So, Apple’s Privacy Cloud Compute Initiative is a great step forward.
